7 PM December 29, 2012, KUSC Classical Radio 91.5 FM Airs 150th Anniversary Emancipation Proclamation Concert of September 22, 2012

During the Civil War on September 22, 1862, President Lincoln drafted the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation announcing that slaves in areas still in rebellion within 100 days would be free. 

On September 22, 2012, MusicUNTOLD partnered with KUSC Classical Radio to present the 150th Anniversary Emancipation Proclamation Concert at the AT&T Center Theater in Los Angeles featuring classical music and opera artists Donnie Ray Albert, Sanford Allen, Polli Chambers-Salazar, Annelle Gregory, Latonia Moore, Jammieca Mott, Nokuthula Ngwenyama, George Shirley, Richard Thompson, and Althea Waites. 

On January 1, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. January 1, 2013 will mark the 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. 

On Saturday December 29, 2012, 7:00pm, KUSC Classical Radio 91.5  FM, www.kusc.org, with broadcast the 150th Anniversary Emancipation Proclamation Concert recorded on September 22, 2012.
