Today, the Japan Art Association honored the Sphinx Organization as its 2012 recipient of the Grant for Young Artists. Every year the Japan Art Association recognizes a group or institution that encourages the involvement of young people in the arts.  This global prize  was established in 1997 and previous winners of the Grant for Young Artists include the Kremerata Baltica, Southbank Sinfonia, and FESNOJIV (El Sistema).

  1. That's phenomenal! African-American accomplishment and positive role models, Japanese artistic grants and classical music, all in the same place?! I love it :)
