Today, August 4, 2012, I discovered in
the Library of Congress that Samuel Coleridge-Taylor met Theodore
Roosevelt in the White House sometime between 12 noon and 12:30 PM on
Monday, November 14, 1904. Earlier in the day, I dropped by a choral
rehearsal at Washington's Metropolitan AME Church in preparation for our
filming on August 6 and 7, 2012. If this is an early indication, our
film, "Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and His Music in America, 1900-1912,"
will be a substantial and moving contribution to biographies of the
composer.

Comment by email:
As I remember, T. Roosevelt was busy during his re-election campaign, which is why he didn't get to the CT concert.
