Prof. François S. Clemmons writes of the above photo: “It was last year during the MLK National Holiday Celebration. AND the Middlebury Martin Luther King Choir sang several spirituals from the Civil Rights era: We Shall Over Come; The Storm Is Passing Over; Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around; Ah Woke Up This Morning Wid My Mind Stayed On Freedom; and This Little Light Of Mine. The same choir is singing again in celebration of the legacy of Dr. King at Mead Chapel on Middlebury College’s campus. It’s our 14^th annual concert in his memory. It’s free and open to the public. I founded the group and am it’s conductor.
