Marcia Farabee is Principal Librarian of the National Symphony Orchestra, Kennedy Center. She tells us the first movement of William Grant still's Afro-American Symphony will be performed on January 7, 2012:

“It is official: our January 7^th performance will be the first movement only of the Symphony #1 (“Afro-American”). Nolan Williams, Jr. will be conducting.”
