Michael S. Wright: Recording Sacred Choral Works of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor 'is about 100 years overdue!'

[Samuel Coleridge-Taylor]

Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (1875-1912) was an Afro-British composer and conductor featured at AfriClassical.com. The website cooperates on research with the Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Foundation of the U.K., http://www.sctf.org.uk/. On Oct. 1, 2011 AfriClassical posted: “SCTF.org: Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's Sacred Choral Works Not Recorded; Most Scores Are Sold by Presto Classical.”

Michael S. Wright is also located in the United Kingdom. He responds to the post with this comment:
“Thanks William,
Getting these works recorded is about 100 years overdue! There is a real upsurge of interest in choral music right now and I would have thought that companies like Hyperion would really go for it.
Regards
Mike
