'In Memoriam' of William Grant Still on 'Exploring Music With Bill McGlaughlin' on Public Radio Aug. 18

Prof. Dominique-René de Lerma of Lawrence University Conservatory alerts AfriClassical to a national broadcast of William Grant Still's 1943 composition, In Memoriam: The Colored Soldieers Who Died for Democracy. The work is also available on a CD of the Fort Smith Symphony under the direction of John Jeter, conductor, Naxos 8.559174 (2005). It will air on the stations of the WFMT Radio Network today, August 18, 2010. The time will be 7:00 PM Central Time.
