AfriClassical has interviewed Eliesha Nelson on Quincy Porter, Complete Viola Works, the recent recording on which she is joined by Douglas Rioth on harp, and John McLaughlin Williams as conductor as well as pianist, harpsichordist and violist. The release of her first CD happened to come within days of the birth of Eliesha's first child. Our post of Sept. 16, 2009 was entitled: "Eliesha Nelson's CD 'Quincy Porter: Complete Viola Works' Highlights Overlooked American Music. Jeffrey Mumford, composer of "wending," for solo viola, has been featured in AfriClassical in each of the past three years, as his prolific output has come to our attention.
