"February 20, 2010 - 8:30AM-12:00 noon at Christ Church Cathedral
This is a symposium on the music of the internationally acclaimed African American composer Adolphus Hailstork, and Dr. Hailstork will be there!

"Besides the Miami University Chamber Singers, you will hear performances by the choir of Christ Church Cathedral (under Stephan Casurella), the Schola Cantorum of Christ Church Glendale (under Bryan Mock), the Winton Woods High School Choir (under David Bell), and the choir of Quinn Chapel AME Church in Forest Park (under Everett Moore).

"The organists playing works by Hailstork are Stephan Casurella (Christ Church Cathedral), John Deaver (Convent of the Transfiguration and Trinity Church Covington), Frank Jordan (Holy Trinity Church, Oxford), Yun Kyong Kim (Christ Church Dayton), and Heather MacPhail (Westwood First Presbyterian Church).

This program promises to be an exciting contribution to the musical culture of the Cincinnati area, a milestone in the chapter’s programming efforts, and the foundation for future collaborations with area musical organizations.
