Delayed by Hurricane Ike, Impulse Artists Series Presents Sodi Braide in Houston Dec. 9

[Sodi Braide: Franck, œuvres pour piano; Lyrinx\Talents LYR 249 (2006)]

The Nigerian pianist Sodi Braide is based in France, where he received his music education. He has released a CD of little-known works for piano of César Franck. Among many international awards, Sodi won a Jury Discretionary Award in the Twelfth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, held in the United States, May 20-June 5, 2005. He has performed widely around the world as a cultural representative of the French Republic. Sodi recently wrote to us: “I'll be back in Houston in early December; I'll be giving a recital on the 9th!”
