The Sphinx Organization, celebrating 11 years of building diversity in classical music, returns to Carnegie Hall on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Under the baton of Maestro Chelsea Tipton II, the concert will feature the Sphinx Chamber Orchestra, the Harlem Quartet, and other top Sphinx Competition alumni performing as soloists. This annual celebration of diversity and classical music embraces the Sphinx Organization’s artistic mission offering standard repertoire and masterpieces by Black and Latino composers.
