On June 3, 2008 AfriClassical posted: “Program Note on Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson's Sinfonietta No. 2, Generations”. A comment has been made by Tristan L. Sullivan: “I heard Generations for the first time tonight. I thought it was freakin brilliant; I loved it. Thank you Coleridge.” The Program Note was written by Dr. Dominique-René de Lerma, who has specialized in Black composers for four decades. He is former Director of the Center for Black Music Research at Columbia College Chicago, where Perkinson was Coordinator of Performance Activities at the time of his death in 2004.
