Some are members of his contemporary dance troupe, Garth Fagan Dance, which returns Tuesday to the Joyce Theater. Others belong to the choreographer's network of family and friends. Significantly they all like to use the telephone, and when Fagan is busy and he can't/won't pick up the receiver, they leave messages on his answering machine.”
