Today, March 8, 2017 is Women International Day during Women History Month. After four (4) hour of listening to my favorite classical music station, I did not hear a single recording by a woman of African descent. I am blessed with an alternative personal collection of music by composers of African descent. I enjoyed the next several hours enjoying the music of Florence Price while multitasking. If you are unfamiliar with Florence Price, please listen to a short introduction titled THE CAGED BIRD by clinking on the first link, listen to her Piano Concerto in One Movement by clinking on the second link,  Longer pieces are also available on YouTube
