AOP First Chance: WE'VE GOT OUR EYE ON YOU Sunday, February 26 | 4:00 PM South Oxford Space - Studio G 138 South Oxford Place, Brooklyn, NY

We've Got Our Eye On You

Three Sisters
A Hunky Greek Demigod
And A Mantrap

A Comic Opera
In Four Scenes

Nkeiru Okoye, Composer

Peek into the craft of writing opera when AOP First Chance presents a free Libretto Reading of We've Got Our Eye on You, a new opera-in-development by librettist David Cote (Three Way, The Scarlet Ibis) to be composed by Nkeiru Okoye (Harriet Tubman: When I Crossed That Line to Freedom). The reading featuring professional stage actors will be directed by Matt Gray and will include a Q&A with the creators.

This zany remix of Greek mythology, rom-com and sexual politics follows the Gray Sisters-three siblings who share a detachable eyeball-as they encounter the blustery hero Perseus. He wants to learn Medusa's whereabouts; they want to get to know him better. Pythia, the Oracle at Delphi, already knows how the craziness will end. All this, plus a Greek Chorus!
