Eric Conway: Broadway Meets Jazz, Meets Nat King Cole in James Rich’s THERE WAS A BOY: Opera@Morgan: musical based on events in the life of music legend

Eric Conway writes:

Good evening,

Many of you may recall that last year, Morgan’s Fine and Performing Arts Department produced a staged reading of a new musical entitled There Was a Boy.    The reading was so successful that we decided to present a fully staged production of the show. There was a Boy, features the music of Nat King Cole!  How can one not enjoy an evening of such wonderful standards like Route 66, Smile, Nature Boy, and Sweet Lorraine!  There will only be four performances:  Friday, November 18, at 10AM and 7:30 PM and Saturday, November 19, at 2PM and 7:30PM.

If you want an enjoyable and nostalgic night on the town, attend this musical at the Murphy Fine Arts Center - Turpin Lamb Theatre.   See attached flyer and press release for your review.  Tickets may be purchased at the Murphy Fine Arts Center Box Office or Ticketmaster.

Best,
EC
