4. Interesting! This is definitely ‘beyond Bach’! Picking up on a comment I made 2 or 3 years ago, the amazing work that Gary Powell Nash introduced me to back in the 1990’s is worth mentioning again.. His ‘Blues Impromptu for solo cello’ recorded by Tanya Anisimova is overdue for further performance and recording. It is a technically challenging work that (as far as I know) has not been recorded by anyone else. However challenging it is to the performer, it is a work that could easily work if programmed in a recital containing some of the famous Bach Suite’s,  Kind regards  Mike  [Michael S. Wright]
