The United States' foremost living and working classical composer, George Walker, will be interviewed for two (2) hours by Jim Svejda, beginning at 9:00 PM (Pacific Time), December 5, 2013 on KUSC Classical Radio 91.5 FM or www. KUSC.org. George Walker won a Pulitzer prize in 1996 with his composition "Lilacs". Svejda previously interviewed Walker on KUSC Classical Radio for five (5) hours. They will discuss Walker's latest recordings this Thursday. George Walker documents his life in an autobiography entitled, George Walker: American Composer and Pianist, published by the Scarecrow Press. When you look at his entire compositional accomplishments, you will not find a truthful unbiased reason to explain NO major United States Orchestra has programmed a 90th birthday celebration for George Theophilus Walker.
