Eric Conway: 'Celebration of the life of Rev. Dr. Harold A. Carter'

Rev. Dr. Harold A. Carter

Eric Conway, D.M.A., Fine and Performing Arts Department Chairperson
of Morgan State University writes:

Hello Everyone,

You cannot live in Baltimore and not know of the passing of a Baltimore institution in the Rev. Dr. Harold A. Carter on May 30, 2013.  The Morgan State Univeristy choir has enjoyed quite a unique relationship with Rev. Harold Carter's church, New Shiloh Baptist Church over the years.  The late Dr. Nathan Carter, former director of the Morgan State Univeristy choir, and former minister of music at this church was the older brother of the pastor of this great church, perhaps Baltimore's first mega-church.

Even today, the Morgan University Choir returns to New Shiloh Baptist church to give an annual concert which has not missed a year in over 40 years.  I participated in this homegoing celebration of life.
...

What a difference Dr. Carter has made with his life, affecting change positively.
