London-born Chi-chi Nwanoku is a Nigerian-Irish star of the Baroque double bass, having played with Europe's leading period orchestras. With Portland Baroque Orchestra, she will show why she's a virtuoso of her unwieldy instrument in music by Mozart, Haydn, Domenico Dragonetti and Luigi Boccherini.

Here she is playing the first movement of Ditters von Dittersdorf's Concerto for Double Bass, No. 2.

7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday, First Baptist Church, 909 S.W. 11th Ave., Portland. A young people's concert is at 3 p.m. Saturday (tickets $5 for under 18); $25-$59, 503-222-6000, pbo.org.
