South Bend Symphony Orchestra: Martin Luther King Celebration Concert
Monday, January 21, 2013, 7pm at IUSB North Side Hall Auditorium
Special Guest Artist: Adé Williams, violin
The South Bend Symphony Orchestra ends the City of South Bend’s Martin Luther King Day Celebration with a concert honoring Dr. King on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the IU South Bend, Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts in North Side Hall Auditorium.   

The 7:00 p.m. concert features South Bend Symphonic Choir, IUSB Chorale and the IU Gospel Choir and IU South Bend Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. Marvin Curtis along with Mr. Lynn C. Coleman as Narrator for Copland’s Lincoln Portrait.   They will join Maestro Tsung Yeh and the South Bend Symphony Orchestra for an evening of inspirational music, from Mozart to Uzee Brown.   The Special Guest Artist is Adé Williams, violin, the Junior Division First Place Laureate of the 2012 Sphinx Competition.  

Concert goers can obtain the free tickets needed for admission by calling the IU South Bend box office 574.520.4203.  Tickets can be picked up in the lobby of the North Side Hall the day of the concert starting at 6pm.
