Charles Kaufmann: Kerby Louis Roberson, 12, 'was filmed recreating Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's first public performance at the same age'

[Image, above: Kerby Louis Roberson, age 12, comments about Samuel Coleridge-Taylor in our documentary film, "Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and His Music in America." Kerby was filmed recreating Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's first public performance at the same age by playing Dancla's Airs Varies for Violin and Piano. The film will premiere in Portland as Event I of the March 16 & 17, 2013, Longfellow Choral Festival. Kerby will then give a repeat performance of the Dancla later that same day in Merrill Auditorium during Event III.]
