The Harlem Quartet appeared live on WBEZ Chicago, in a segment posted June 15, 2012. They opened by performing a Ragtime piece by Wynton Marsalis. In the interview which followed, the members had an opportunity to give their individual perspectives on their ensemble, including the repertoire. Melissa White recounted that she was hooked on the violin after seeing Itzhak Perlman perform on Sesame Street. The discussion turned to the program for an upcoming concert with the Chicago Sinfonietta. The Quartet closed the segment with Duke Ellington's Take the 'A' Train.
