VocalEssence Announces Its 2012-2013 Season

VOCALESSENCE ANNOUNCES ITS 2012-2013 SEASON

MINNEAPOLIS, MN  — VocalEssence proudly announces the 2012-2013 Concert Season: a year of distinctive music and memories to last a lifetime. Under the direction of Artistic Director and Founder Philip Brunelle, the 44th season includes six subscription concerts and two special events for the family.

Season tickets go on sale beginning Sunday, April 1, 2012. VocalEssence subscribers receive premium seating and save 10% off regular single ticket prices. 2012-2013 Season highlights include:
  • A passionate October with the return of Helmuth Rilling as guest conductor of Romance in E minor.
  • VocalEssence Presents: An Evening in Havana. A sizzling performance from Schola Cantorum Coralina on their first tour to the U.S. from Cuba.
  • Welcome Christmas with an Italian Holiday evoking the nativity in the foothills of Tuscany.
  • The stunning story of musical legend Marian Anderson with WITNESS 2013.
  • English folk music with a clever twist, featuring the works of Percy Grainger.
  • The return of Paul Bunyan as told by Benjamin Britten, featuring Don Shelby as the voice of the lumberjack himself.
