John Malveaux: Annelle K Gregory to perform 'Summerland' by William Grant Still during 150th Anniversary Concert

Violinist Annelle K Gregory, laureate of the 2011 National Sphinx Competition, accepted invitation to perform SUMMERLAND by composer William Grant Still during 150th Anniversary Emancipation Proclamation Concert. Youth is 100% of our future.

Annelle Kazumi Gregory began studying violin at an early age and currently studies under the Tseitlins at the California Institute of Music.


“Annelle is a laureate of the 2011 National Sphinx String Competition and was a semifinalist in the 2010 California International Young Artists Competition. In 2010, as part of a national tour, Annelle performed at Carnegie Hall as a member of the Sphinx Virtuosi, a 20-piece string ensemble. She also recorded with the ensemble on their debut album, 'Sphinx Virtuosi: Live in Concert.'"
