JackStraw.org: 'William Chapman Nyaho will record a two CD set of piano music by composers from Africa and the African Diaspora'

[William Chapman Nyaho]

Dr. William Chapman Nyaho is a pianist and educator
of Ghanaian heritage who has made a specialty
of piano works of Composers of African Descent.
He is featured at AfriClassical.com and has a
website, www.Nyaho.com.  Two CDs, and 5
volumes of sheet music published by Oxford
University Press, make such music available, often
for the first time.  His selection by Jack Straw
Productions will make it possible for him to record two
more CDs of music of Composers of African Descent:

Jack Straw Productions, the Northwest's nonprofit
audio arts center, has awarded residencies in the
2012 Artist Support Program (ASP) 18 artists
and artist teams spanning multiple disciplines and
genres.  The primary goal of Jack Straw Artist
Residency Programs is to support audio as a vital
medium in the arts. Our Residency
Programs offer established and emerging
artists opportunities to explore the creative use of
sound in a professional atmosphere through
residencies in our recording studios and participation
in our various presentation programs.  Artists for the

Artist Support Program are selected by an
interdisciplinary peer panel. Selected artists are listed
below."
