Ensemble du Monde in Saint-Georges Symphony at Chagrin Valley Chamber Music Concert Series, Severance Hall Sept. 10

Chagrin Valley Chamber Music Concert Series presents the New York City based multi-cultural virtuoso chamber orchestra Ensemble du Monde (Ensemble-in-Residence of the Saint-Georges International Festival) at the historic Severance Hall’s Reinberger Chamber Hall.

"The ensemble will be lead by its Music Director, dynamic conductor Marlon Daniel and feature soloists violinist Hristo Popov in Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major, K. 219, the famous 'Turkish' Concerto and mezzo-soprano Lara Nie in Mahler’s poetic Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (Songs of a Wayfarer). The concert will also include the Symphony in D Major Op. 11 (Overture to the opera 'L’amant anonyme') by French classical period composer of African descent, Le Chevalier de Saint-Georges, and Dvořák’s delightful Serenade in E Major Op. 22.
